Counselling Session

Your sessions will normally be one-to-one and will take place in a comfortable and confidential setting. Sessions will normally last for 50 minutes and will take place on a weekly basis, on the same day and at the same appointment time. Commitment to attending your sessions is an important part of the counselling process and facilitates the building of a therapeutic relationship between you and your counsellor.

Some people find that a few sessions are sufficient to meet their needs, whilst others continue counselling for a longer period of time. The number of counselling sessions you undertake will be something that I will review and negotiate with you.

Fees

Initial appointment fees are £40 per session, with on-going sessions charged at £50 per individual session, with couples counselling at £65 per session. I offer some concessionary fees for students. Sessions cancelled with less than 48hrs notice will incur the full session fee. All fees are payable by cash or cheque at the start of each session.

Confidentiality

Information is treated in the strictest confidence. In certain circumstances, where there is a possibility of risk to yourself or another, it may be necessary to contact another professional; I would seek to discuss this with you
